This is my third pair of mephisto sandals. If they weren’t perfect at the first pair, pairs 2 and 3 would not exist.
They last long and are very comfortable.
I am just a bit worry because the buckle seems weak

This is my second pair of Nardos. I have been wearing Birkenstocks for over 40 years but my Nardos are comfortable from the first time I wear them. I’ve always had to “break in” Birks but Mephistopheles Nardos are ready to go from the moment they arrive. Pricier but worth it!

The footbed is without peer.
The leather upper is terrific, supple and strong.
The fasteners are a bit of a challenge to manipulate, but are effective.
