As I've written recently I've owned many Mephisto shoes for the past 31 years (I still have a pair in very good condition that is 31 years young). The Mephisto Match that I've been wearing for a few times since I got them is no exception in good fit, exceptional comfort, excellent quality & workmanship and yes excellent value. The arch support feels great, comfortable and solid when walking. Per my personal experience, Mephistos last a very very long time. My feet and shoes in general don't seem to get along but I'm able to make them happy in a pair of Mephisto shoes. So... The cost of these shoes is relative.

Je chausse des souliers Méphisto depuis les années 90. Nous pouvions les acheter chez un marchand de la station de métro Berri-De Montigny et aussi chez différents commerces de la rive sud.
Les souliers que vous venez de me vendre remplacent une paire de chaussure du même modèle que je me suis procuré il y a 5 ans chez un commerce de la rue St.Hubert à Montréal.
Je suis un octogénaire, les chaussures Mephisto sont pour moi d’un grand confort, bon support d’arche, bonnes largeur et bonne longueur.

Started wearing Mephisto's Match or similar in 1970, now at age 87 still in love with them. Buy online as local stores do not have a good selection and make no effort, just not available or no longer made. Web purchase from Mephisto Canada gives excellent service, fast and full selection.

I purchased 1/2 size larger than my usual size. This is the same as my other Mephisto shoes.
Fit well heel to ball, with extra toe room.

For anyone who has wondered how good Mephisto shoes are, this is my second pair...with my first pair, I walked all over Israel and Tuscany and Paris...and every day at home for 8 years...and I'm the guy with poor feet...I once met a shoemaker in the U.S. who emigrated from Russia...he took one look at my Mephisto shoes and said, 'that is a quality pair of shoe's...his Dad used to make shoes and boots by hand in Russia for nobility...and not only are the shoes great...there was a glitch with my order...Josie sorted it out and made sure I was able to get the 'Father's Day Special'...customer service at this high level is hard to find in Canada...thank you Mephisto...and 'Happy Canada Day"...

This is the 3rd pair of this shoe (Match) I have bought over the past 20 yrs and the first time I have purchased shoes online, as thankfully I knew the size of the shoe would fit so as to reduce the odds of having to go thru the return hassle.
A great walking shoe, that totally works for me. I may try the Barracuda Gore next time as the sole appears to be more suited to heavy use.
