The cruiser is a blend of formal wear and sport gear, in such great quality of course. Heavy shoe but it's not noticeable when walking. Note the latest batch are made in Portugal, slightly different leather and insole (pictured France in rear and Portugal in front). 5/5 for both.

I love my mephisto when flying
Without stating my age; I'll say I've never owned footwear that perform & present to the high standards of the Mephisto products I own. Currently, I work with 7 pairs ranging from dress shoes to sandals. I have other shoes....they simply do not compare with Mephisto. Last, when I meet clients or other contacts typically I do not expect comments on my footwear....such indeed gets noticed & in my line of work, shabby dress simply doesn't "cut it". Fact is, many times I've had comments on my shoes, or simply catch people staring at my feet. They....frankly most everyone....know the product. Their actions I simply take as complement. But I never leave my Mephistos unattended (say for polishing) when staying at a hotel, visiting a country club offering that service, etc. I wear a very popular size!

Offrez-vous le service « refurbished » remise à neuf comme aux USA car j'ai une paire de Méphisto boating dont les semelles sont usées mais tout le reste semble encore en très bon état. Mon cordonnier me dit ne pas pouvoir changer le cœur de la semelle Merci de bien vouloir me répondre, R. Jomphe

Mephisto leather shoes are very well made and last a long time. Size was good, but the style was odd - the tongue of the shoe was constructed so that it was placed outside the top. It looked nice but made the shoe feel odd, so they were sent back. We will look for another style.
Very comfortable and healing for the feet
Shoes look great and comfortable as always.. Thank you to Sydney who was able to add 2 pairs of laces to the order, as it wasn't possible to accomplish that Online.
The one issue I have is that SOME of my Mephisto purchases that give the N. Am. sizing for this essentially European shoe is correct sizing for my foot and others are 1/2 a size too large. I can't figure out why but fortunately I have a local cobbler who stacks the heel sufficiently for a good fit. I have found a solution for this problem but am not thrilled that I have to go to an extra expense and time delay for what is essentially quite an expensive brand to begin with.
Had the same Mephisto model 25 years ago but couldn't find it locally any more to replace. Timely delivery and perfect fit.
