THE PROPER FIT FACTOR
You may have never experienced properly fitting footwear; it may be that Mephisto will fit differently than any shoe you have ever worn. This is a common experience and it should be noted that proper fit is critical to comfort. With walking, it is important to give your toes a substantial degree of freedom. They should never be “locked in”, one against another. Mephisto shoes should provide plenty of room in the toe area. The same thinking applies to your heel. The Mephisto heel is not designed to fit snug. A comfortable walking shoe will flex and bend with your foot. Your foot should be cradled, not bound. A properly fitting shoe should not have to be “broken in” to be comfortable…they should be comfortable from the very first step you take.
Sizing
Sizing can vary from style to style which means you may not wear the same size in all your shoes. Also, our sandals are available in full sizes only. If you are normally a half size in a Mephisto shoe, you should size up to the next size. Below are some size conversion charts which offer general guidelines for converting your size to another scale.

I have wanted a pair of these shoes for years, and finally purchased them. I love them, they are so comfortable. I have a few pairs of the sandals, and it nice to have a closed toe pair now.
I like le them
I love these shoes as slippers. Think I will I need another pair for outside :). Supportive yet very comfortable sole and foot bed. Like that they are adjustable as assume will stretch over time and I will tighten as need be.
Mephisto is great footwear
Love Mephisto shoes! These just added to my collection. When you have issues with your feet (plantar fasciitis) you need good shoes and these are supportive, well made, look great and so comfortable. Want to buy more in other colours!
This if the first pair of this style of shoe I purchased and I love them. Easy to slip on and so comfortable. I have been a Mephisto customer for 30 years. Best quality shoes and sandals.

The shoes fit well and are comfortable. They were a little stiff at first but seemed to have softened up a bit. I really like them
I have the Mephisto Hester sandal in size 38, and they fit great. I ordered the Halina online, size 38, and when they came they were much too small. Although I returned them promptly, and received a signature for the return, I am still waiting weeks later for acknowledgement of the return, and for a refund. I will never order online from Mephisto again.

Perfect fit

Here's my experience with this shoe. at the beginning, the left foot was too tight -- even after wearing several times, the unlined soft suede did not give and shape to my foot -- to the extent that my foot would not slide all the way into the toe box on that foot....I had to mechnically stretch the toe box. The right shoe has a odd/an irregularity in the sole on outside edge - to the extent that after trying to wear them periodically only, I have a calus on the sole of my foot just near the baby toe - very painful - and especially painful last week when I thought I would get these out of the closet for wearing in fall weather. All of this very disappointing - especially since you said there would be no returns/no refunds for my $200 purchase. Unfortunate -- such a well respected brand - I expected better.

I really like Mephistos. I like how they feel, fit and breathe. The cork bottoms are solid yet cushioned. I own several pair. Unfortunately, I only gave this Halina review a 3 star, because even though I ordered 1 size larger than I normally where, I found these too small and had to return them. At this time, I can not access a larger size as they are sold out of the beautiful Light Khaki green in my size.
My second pair this season! Using them as my indoor slippers. Couldn’t be happier with the comfort and fit.

These are great shoes for wearing indoors as slippers, but are stylish enough to be worn outside. They are cute and super comfy. I love that they have the exact same footbed as all the other "H" Mephisto sandals - the perfect thing to alleviate my plantar fasciitis. I highly recommend these shoes. Love, love, love them!
Why is everything out of stock ?
Well! Purchased my 3rd pair - says it all - using as slippers, another pair for outside and now a spare. So comfortable and supports my arches very well. Important to me that they are adjustable to make more narrow. Love them

I love these shoes! My sandals were My first love so I needed to find a Mephisto to carry me through All the other Canadian seasons! I sent My first pair back as they were way too small. I tried the 42 and it fit! I am normally a 9.5 wide. My Mephisto sandals are a 41 so I would definately size up!
