THE PROPER FIT FACTOR
You may have never experienced properly fitting footwear; it may be that Mephisto will fit differently than any shoe you have ever worn. This is a common experience and it should be noted that proper fit is critical to comfort. With walking, it is important to give your toes a substantial degree of freedom. They should never be “locked in”, one against another. Mephisto shoes should provide plenty of room in the toe area. The same thinking applies to your heel. The Mephisto heel is not designed to fit snug. A comfortable walking shoe will flex and bend with your foot. Your foot should be cradled, not bound. A properly fitting shoe should not have to be “broken in” to be comfortable…they should be comfortable from the very first step you take.
Sizing
Sizing can vary from style to style which means you may not wear the same size in all your shoes. Also, our sandals are available in full sizes only. If you are normally a half size in a Mephisto shoe, you should size up to the next size. Below are some size conversion charts which offer general guidelines for converting your size to another scale.

My favourite sandal!!
I never received my online order, and when I contacted Mephisto customer service for help, I was told they would get back to me shortly with more information, but they never did. I even followed up my request, and Mephisto completely ignored me. I had to contact my bank to take action regarding this situation. I am appalled that customer service did nothing about a purchase of nearly 200$ that I never received.
J'adore mes nouvelles sandales. Le confort, la qualité du produit ainsi que l'apparence n'ont rien à envier aux autres compagnies populaires offrant ce même type de produit. J'ai l'avant du pied large et une arche prononcée qui augmentent la difficulté à trouver chaussure à mon pied. La semelle et l'ajustement permettent un confort optimal, le cuir fait en sorte qu'il n'en est qu'augmenté au fil de l'utilisation. L'essayer c'est l'adopter; je recommande sans hésiter!

Vraiment bien, peur que ce soit un peu trop petit considérant qu'il n'y a pas de demi point, mais c'est ok. Toutefois, je considère cet aspect pour d'autres achats que je ne ferai pas.

Since the mid 90's, I have always had at least one pair of these sandals in my closet. I can put them on and never have to think about my feet. I can walk all day in them. I prefer nubuck to plain leather, but only slightly. The important thing is that I always have a pair in my possession.
Beautiful sandal as always...perfect fit and great quality!
I really like the look and quality of these shows and the support however I’m concerned after wearing them around the house that the toe loop will bother me and aggravate a small bunion.. it’s a little tight . Hopefully they soften up as the leather is stiff .
They seem nice. Love the style. I am slowly breaking them in.

These Mephisto Helen sandals are super comfortable. I keep buying them because they are so comfortable. These are the 4th pair I've had. I also want to mention how outstanding Mephisto customer service is. I called Mephisto Canada as I had some questions and the woman who assisted me was exceptionally helpful.
I haven’t worn this pair yet as it is -31 C here today but I have had at least four of the black, 2 of tan, blue suede… love, love, love my mephistoes!
