THE PROPER FIT FACTOR
You may have never experienced properly fitting footwear; it may be that Mephisto will fit differently than any shoe you have ever worn. This is a common experience and it should be noted that proper fit is critical to comfort. With walking, it is important to give your toes a substantial degree of freedom. They should never be “locked in”, one against another. Mephisto shoes should provide plenty of room in the toe area. The same thinking applies to your heel. The Mephisto heel is not designed to fit snug. A comfortable walking shoe will flex and bend with your foot. Your foot should be cradled, not bound. A properly fitting shoe should not have to be “broken in” to be comfortable…they should be comfortable from the very first step you take.
Sizing
Sizing can vary from style to style which means you may not wear the same size in all your shoes. Also, our sandals are available in full sizes only. If you are normally a half size in a Mephisto shoe, you should size up to the next size. Below are some size conversion charts which offer general guidelines for converting your size to another scale.

A couple of days to get the feet acclimated followed by comfort and foot support. Better than both my Cambrian and Birkenstocks
My first pair of Mephisto and I am impressed with the comfort and workmanship on these Zonder sandals. The most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. Built with quality materials and they look great. I will buy more. The delivery from Mephisto Canada was super fast too!

I love these shoes. They are my slippers and are lighter than my previous Mephisto. Would recommend them to any one. Have been wearing Mephisto (sandals as well) for years. Maybe 20 +. Sue
I purchased a pair on line and love them (although I did order a size l9 instead of an eight as in my mind these are not true to size. I was not sure if these were true to size., women's nine fit perfectly I have owned a pair for about five years and they were show their age.

I did my home homework on this sandal. I compared the Zonder to the Birkenstock’s Arizona and there was really no comparison: the workmanship and the quality of the leather/footbed of the Zonder won! I’ve had the sandal for a month and love it!

Comfortable on feet, large adjustable straps keeps foot in place. Prolonged standing causes lower back ache.
This, my second pair, absolutely reinforces the quality of the sandal produced by Mephisto Someday, I will most probably have a third pair.
I ordered these sandals according to the size chart, but they are almost too small. I have worn them around the house and cannot return them. They are ok, but I would order one size up the next time. If they were a closed shoe they would not be wearable.

Ahhhhhhhh! Like pillows on your feet. Have metarsalgia and these have finally given me relief. Also have the Hannel mephisto sandal which is lovely to wear as well. Absolute quality from this company and worth every penny.
